SSC JE 2024 Age limit as on 01/08/2024
For the posts that are under the Border Road Organisation and Central Public Works Department, the age limit is up to 32 years – The candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1992, and not later than August 1, 2006. For all remaining jobs The age limit is upto 30 years. The candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1994, and not later than August 1, 2006.
Age relaxations
- OBC and ESW (Ex-Servicemen) candidates are entitled to a three-year exemption.
- SC and ST candidates are entitled to a 5-year relaxation.
- PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates are eligible for a 10-year relaxation.

SSC JE Selection Process
According to the announcement, the selection process includes:
Paper I is a computer-based objective test with three sections.
Paper II: This is a computer-based examination in which applicants must complete their engineering domain paper.

SSC JE 2024 Online Application
The online application process for the SSC JE 2024 exam began on March 28, 2024, at https://ssc.gov.in/, along with the release of the SSC JE Notification PDF. According to the official statement, the deadline for the Online Registration Process is April 18, 2024. Candidates who are interested in the Junior Engineer positions must complete their online registration form for SSC JE 2024 immediately.
SSC JE 2024 Application Fee
Candidates must pay Rs. 100/- as an application fee for the SSC JE 2024 Exam. Female candidates, ex-servicemen, and candidates from reserved categories are excluded from paying the application fee for the SSC JE 2024 exam. The application fee can only be paid online using Net-Banking, Credit/Debit cards, and BHIM, UPI, etc.

Photograph – A candidate’s photograph must be taken against a white or light-coloured background. The photograph must be more than 4 kb but less than 12 kb in size. The photograph’s resolution must be 100 by 120 pixels in width and height.
Signature: The candidate’s signature must be in black or blue ink on a white page. The scanned copy of the signature that must be submitted must be in jpg format and larger than 1 kb but less than 12 kb in size. The image’s resolution should be 40 * 60 pixels in width and height.
Step 7: Login with your registered ID and password to complete Part II of the SSC JE 2024 application form.
Step 8: After filling out the application form, candidates must preview the full SSC JE 2024 application once to check for any errors in the form, as the application form cannot be modified once submitted.
