According to a letter dated March 31st, signed by Ali Maishago and Zakkah Bassahuwa, the APC chairman and secretary of Badarawa/Malali ward respectively, Suleiman has been accused of defaming the character of Governor Uba Sani. Additionally, she stands accused of engaging in unauthorized publicity of the party’s dispute, which undermined the governor's reputation.

The party further alleges that Suleiman orchestrated an attack on the political adviser to the governor, Manzo Maigari, by sending individuals to assail him.
The suspension, in line with Article 21, 2 (v) of the APC constitution, will remain in force until a thorough investigation into the allegations has been conducted.
