West Chester Relies On Solid Pitching To Sweep D'Youville In Twinbill
Left-handed pitcher Julian Costa displayed an outstanding performance, coming within one out of securing a seven-inning no-hitter. The formidable pitching staff of West Chester delivered a masterful display, combining for 14 shutout innings, ultimately sweeping a non-league doubleheader against visiting D'Youville College on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Serpico Stadium.

Maintaining their dominance, West Chester extended their unbeaten streak to nine games, affirming their superiority over D'Youville, clinching victory in all three encounters this season.

In the second game, the Golden Rams held the Saints to five hits, sealing an emphatic 8-0 triumph. Nick Noga exhibited resilience on the mound, pitching five solid innings, yielding just three hits while striking out one batter. The offense rallied behind Noga's stellar performance, scoring consistently with one run in the first, four in the third, one in the fourth, and two in the fifth innings.

Evan Profy and Darius Troche showcased their batting prowess in game one, each going 2-for-3 with a crucial RBI. The momentum carried into the second game, with Joe Kaleck, John DeMucci, and Anthony Boccio, each contributing a pair of hits. Drew Simpson, Zack Miles, and Boccio, continued their offensive onslaught, driving in two runs each, solidifying West Chester's commanding victory.

The Golden Rams (18-5-1) return to action on Friday when they host Mansfield.
